Romania: The Alternative School – Eurobest Semester – open for applications

For the 15th consecutive year, The Alternative School is open for applications. The deadline is 16th of October. The School starts on October, 17th and the winning team of this semester competition will be announced on November 9th. The winning team, selected by an international jury, will represent Romania at the Eurobest Integrated contest, taking place in Poland, between 28th of November and December 1st.

Dedicated to people under 30 from all walks of marketing, branding and communication related disciplines, this dense semester consisting of 7 meetings is focusing on emotional intelligence, kindful brands, foresight, business growth trends, ExO mindset, Design Thinking, tech & new medias, cultural insight, visual languages, content worth watching, private label intelligence & evolved markets.

The meetings are structured on the seminar + workshop model, where reputed guest are sharing the latest relevant information and the students are working on briefs, to train their brain for the upcoming international competition and building new neuronal paths and new ways of approaching problems, useful in their daily projects. The attendance fee is 200 E / person.

  • October 24th – Focus on Creative Efficiency & Culture

  • October 26th –  Focus on digital and tech

  • October 29th – Focus on Experience  
Miruna Mihalache, Former Young Lion, Senior Brand Manager ALBALACT, Cannes Lions winner: Creativity for Smart Clients. Lessons from a client scoring big in both efficiency and creativity contests.
  • October 31st – Focus on content

Isabella Branisteanu – Founder Thinkegic: PRIVATE LABEL – The insights beyond the private label legend and why are they useful to people working in other marcom areas.

Within the current semester, two competitions will take place: one selecting a team to represent Romania at the Eurobest Integrated creativity contest (taking place in Warsaw, Poland, from November 30th to December 2nd) and the other one, selecting a shortlist of three Romanian students (23 years old or younger) for the Roger Hatchuel Academy, taking place in Cannes, at The Lions, for a week, in 2020. The Eurobest winners will have their attendance cost covered, but the flight tickets will be in their responsibility.
