BCR’s mobine and internet banking app, George, introduced under its umbrella the new George Moneyback program. available directly inside the app, the program offers a series of rewards to BCR clients that will use card payment within partner stores. Moneyback is specially conceived to match clients’ profile, offering customized rewards, based on the historic of the previous transactions made with that card.
The new tech implemented within the program were conceived and will be offered by Dateio, fintech start-up from Czech Republlic, specialized in analyzing data received from card transactions in store. The company prioritizes innovation and collaborates now with over 12 financial institutions internationally. Dateios involvement in the new program will offer retailers the option to reach a potential of 900,000 clients in Romania and 2.5M in CEE
The launch of Moneyback represents a stepping stone or us. Dateio has a team of 40 people and circa 2 devs and data specialists that are working in Java and Groovy framework. The data layer is realized in Postgres, includes advanced algorithms, from statistical machine learning methods to other AI tech that analyzes millions of transactions a month.
The integration with the banking app is made via an API that allows a simple and fast integration. “We are building a platform, a single product for any bank in the world, so we are trying to dedicate as less time as possible to customized development and more to developing the product itself”, Ondrej added.
