The Biz Sustainability Awards 2020 Gala announced its winners

Biz magazine awarded during the Biz Sustainability Awards 2020 Gala the champions of sustainability, 15 of the most appreciated and active personalities, companies and NGOs that truly understand what it means to be responsible and to invest in the communities they are part of.

The Biz Sustainability Awards 2020 Gala reunited top managers from companies, entrepreneurs, culture people and NGOs representatives and was streamed live online. The event was preceded by a conference that presented the trends and the innovations that model the sustainability both in business, as well as in the life of each one of us.

Biz Sustainability Awards proposes itself to highlight the companies and the NGOs that make performance through smart sustainability and leadership in CSR strategies. We want to show that there are a lot of best practice cases in the field in Romania, in order to stimulate the business environment and the whole society to change the perspective and to at responsible,” said Marta Ușurelu, owner Biz.

  • Penny for the Community Centre in Buftea, built in partnership with Habitat for Humanity

The culture category

  • Vodafone for the platform “Impreuna mai puternici”
  • Marius Manole for the campaign #ActorIndependent

The environment category

  • Nespresso – The general sustainability strategy
  • Philips Romania & Airly – “Romania respira – Vrem aer curat!”
  • Lidl for the project “Cu apele curate”, alongside Maimultverde

Special awards

  • Anca Ungureanu – The campaign #Sustinemafacerilemici
  • Hospice Casa Sperantei

The NGO of the Year

  • Geeks for Democracy

The design of the trophy Biz Sustainability Awards was created by the plastic artist Ovidiu Toader.

The factors that determined the choosing of the brands in each category in the study were: the impact, the creativity and originality, the innovation and the efficiency.
