FCB Inferno promoted Sharon Jiggins to CMO

Business, Creativity, People

FCB Inferno announced the internal promotion of Sharon Jiggins to Chief Marketing Officer, adding new business growth into her extensive remit alongside her account leadership responsibilities.

Having been at the agency since the FCB and Inferno merger in 2013, Sharon has previously held the roles of Managing Director and EVP. As well as her commercial clients, she has led many of the Agency’s Force For Good accounts and is dedicated to producing creative work which makes a positive impact on culture and society. Sharon has been the agency’s driving force behind Sport England’s trailblazing and multi-award winning This Girl Can, since its inception back in 2015. Over the past five years, This Girl Can has not only encouraged millions of women and girls to exercise, it has entered the vernacular of society and become a shortcut for female confidence and empowerment, shifting the dial in how women are portrayed in advertising.

Sharon’s current client portfolio spans accounts such as the Home Office, Battersea Cats and Dogs Home and Pura, a new global disruptor brand in the baby care category. In recent months, while clients have faced the trials of COVID-19, Sharon has overseen the launches of numerous public awareness campaigns including #YouAreNotAlone Domestic Abuse campaign for the Home Office and Sport England’s Stay In Work Out.

Sharon also plays a pivotal role in heading up the agency’s new business function, shaping the agency’s positioning and future strategic direction. As a result of Sharon’s unrelenting drive for the agency’s growth, FCB Inferno has brought in numerous new clients over the past six months, including a series of successive pitch wins throughout the lockdown period. The agency’s new clients span commercial and charitable brands, including The Jo Cox Foundation and Crisis UK.

Sharon said, “FCB Inferno is at an exciting stage of its journey, and even in lockdown we have been producing powerful behaviour change campaigns. Our desire to produce work that has a positive impact on society and culture is proving to be very fruitful for us in the new business arena, and I am excited about taking on a bigger role in attracting like-minded clients”.

Frazer Gibney, CEO at FCB Inferno said, “Sharon is the consummate client lead. Strategic, entrepreneurial, creative, driven. No-one cares more deeply about doing the right thing for their clients than Sharon. I am delighted she is adding this role to her portfolio.”
