BLACK FRIDAY: the Fashion Days common sense edition ended, but the donations continue

Business, e-Commerce

Fashion Days, the fashion online market leader in Romania, ended Sunday the biggest sales event of the year. During November 11-15th were sold almost 450.000 products while the donations in the 9 containers placed in Bucharest, Cluj, Constanta, Timisoara and Brasov reached over 8 tons of cloths and footware.

We are passing through a very different year, therefore we decided to also mark Black Friday in a different manner through the common sense edition. With this occasion we reminded the buyers that we prepared for them the best offers and at the same time we launched the challenge of doing good deeds, by donating a part of the cloths they are not wearing anymore. Therefore, we succeeded in accumulating from the first days over 22.000 donated pieces, meaning over 8  tons of cloths and footware that will be allocated to the Cloths Bank in the next period, for those who need them. We were happy to see that through the involvement and the mobilization of the community we can make important donations for those who come from disadvantaged areas and we thank all the people that responded to our invitation, but also the ones that are going to donate in the future. We strongly believe that it’s important that the donations become a recurrent and #debunsimt (of common sense) gesture in all our lives,” said Robert Berza, General Manager Fashion Days.

The collecting of donations continues, followed by the igienization and transport process towards the Banca de Haine Association. Until November 16th, the biggest quantity was collected in Bucharest (over 7 tones), followed by Brasov (almost 540 kg), Cluj – (almost 500 kg), while in Timisoara and Constanta – over 500 kg together.

Black Friday 2020 ended with sales of over 80 million RON for Fashion Days, the app remaining the main source of orders, with over 80 percent of the value of the placed orders, in continue growth from one year to another. The number of placed orders grew also with 25 percent, while the medium value of the shopping cart was at last year’s value – almost RON 460.
