Venatus kicks off 2021 with new hires following 38% year on year growth

Business, Creativity, Digital & Media

Venatus, the global advertising technology platform, focussed on gaming and entertainment, has hired seven new team members in the first week of January. This latest recruitment drive follows a strong year for Venatus, a named company in the Ad Exchanger Programmatic Power Players – a definitive list of the top agencies and strategic advertising partners.

The new hires will be joining the Engineering, Publisher Operations and Business Development teams, bringing the Venatus employee count to over 60 – the highest headcount for Venatus in 10 years of business.

The shift to remote-working has allowed Venatus to look further afield for talent. The London-based company now has remote teams in Miami, Turkey and Kyiv to help drive revenue in new regions following a successful office launch in Los Angeles in February 2020.

A renewed global interest in gaming has helped drive both direct and programmatic sales for Venatus, which has seen new brands enter the gaming space due to a shift in digital behaviour in 2020. New publisher partnerships in 2020 with Gfinity, GINX TV and Frameplay further solidified Venatus’ position in the gaming and entertainment space.

Rob Gay, CEO, Venatus, comments:

‘We recognise how hard the teams have worked under challenging circumstances this year, seeing a 38% growth during a pandemic was something we could have never anticipated. We are fortunate to be working in gaming and have such an incredible team alongside us who have adapted brilliantly to the new normal of remote working.

Given the current economic uncertainty, we are thankful to attract such exceptional talent to our growing business. We are going to continue to hire and grow in 2021 and look forward to a time when we can meet with our wonderful team in person again.’
