Cohn & Jansen ranks 3rd among Independent Agencies in Europe on the Effie Index

The independent advertising agency Cohn & Jansen Creative Network has become the most efficient agency in Romania in the Effie Index 2024 ranking, announced yesterday, June 5, 2025, achieving the performance of ranking third at European level among independent agencies, after Banda from Kyiv (Ukraine) and Robert/ Boisen & Like-minded from Copenhagen (Denmark).

Cohn & Jansen thus manages to surpass established agencies such as Jung von Matt from Hamburg (Germany), ranked sixth, or Mother from London (UK), ranked tenth, and proves that the outstanding results from the last editions of Effie Romania are not a coincidence at all.

Moreover, the Romanian agency ranks 7th in the general ranking of agencies in Europe among Individual Agencies Offices (including network ones) and 40th in the world, a truly outstanding performance for both the agency and the local advertising industry.

The campaigns that managed to elevate Cohn & Jansen to these impressive positions were the following:

The Wrong Labeling campaign for AQUA Carpatica Flavours, which represented the launch of the newest product in the AQUA Carpatica portfolio, and for which it won the Grand Effie in Romania and two Gold awards in the Beverages Non-Alcohol and Marketing Disruptors categories.

The BCR “Free to be yourself” campaign, aimed at encouraging Romanians to make intelligent financial choices and which in Romania obtained a Gold in the Financial Services category and a Bronze in the Effie Europe “Best of the Best” competition, while BCR also obtained a Silver in the Sustained Success category, for the communication platform “For a Financially Intelligent Romania”, which aimed to help Romanians adopt financial behavior that is good for them.

The “Save & back-up you home” campaign, the first campaign signed by Cohn & Jansen for Omniasig Vienna Insurance Group on the topic of optional home insurance, and which received a Bronze at Effie Romania in the Financial Services category. Teach for Romania, which won a well-deserved Gold locally, in the Positive Change: Non-profit category, for the “Book Heroes vs. Functional Literacy” campaign, and which aimed to recruit an increasing number of teachers to teach in vulnerable communities in Romania.

The Effie Index identifies and ranks the marketing industry’s most effective agencies, marketers and brands by analyzing finalist and winner data from 50+ Effie Awards competitions, spanning 130 markets, worldwide.
