Acquired customers will benefit from Monta’s industry-leading technology, dedicated support, and a continuously improving customer experience, ensuring a seamless transition and long-term value.

Accelerating Consolidation Across Europe

This acquisition is part of a broader consolidation trend reshaping the European CPMS landscape. As the market matures, operators are increasingly looking to partner with established, full-featured platforms. Monta is at the forefront of this shift, bringing together best-in-class technology and a growing customer base across Europe.

“This acquisition reflects our ambition to be the leading CPMS platform in Europe and our commitment to providing the best possible home for charge point operators looking for a reliable, innovative, and long-term partner. As the market consolidates, Monta is well positioned to lead that charge.”

Monta was founded in late 2020 in Denmark. It is an operating solution that powers the electric vehicle ecosystem by offering an integrated software platform that empowers drivers, solutions providers, and site owners with personalized charging experiences, full control over operations, and advanced energy management.

Nowadays, the Monta platform has over 260,000 commercial charging points under supervision. Thanks to the work of our 100+ engineers, our software is compatible with over 800 charge point models — and counting — and on a frequent basis, it releases features that are setting the standard in the industry. F.ex., Monta AI builds on this foundation to turn operational data into proactive intelligence — helping operators diagnose issues faster, make better decisions, and run charging networks more efficiently at scale.

Client’s employees and drivers can access more than 1.3M public charge points across Europe and in the US through the platform. Monta is present in the US and in eleven European countries (Denmark, France, Belgium, Sweden, Norway, the UK, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Spain and the Netherlands), and operates in 32 total through its partners.

Since its creation, the company has raised €130M in funding from Energize Capital, GreenPoint, Headline, byFounders, AENU, Creandum, Quantum Light, and Denmark’s state-backed Export and Investment Fund.
