Accenture organizes in Romania Change4Impact – 4 days event including a hackathon for a more sustainable world

Accenture organizes, in Romanian cities Buchares and Cluj Napoca, on 26-29 May, Change4Impact, event that will include a conference and a 36 hours hackathon aiming to develop innovative IT solutions to make a more sustainable world.

The competition is open for entries to teams made out 3-5 members. The physical locations for the hacckathon will be in Bucharest and Cluj and online, so the contestants can opt for one of them. The teams will be advised by mentors during the competition and will be able to use any instruments or tech they want to reimagine the future and develop innovative solutions.

The first day of the event will include a conference that will be relayed through an interactive virtual platform and has as speakers Marcus Fromm, Travel & Transportation Industry Lead, Accenture Switzerland; Amedeo Perrone, Group Design Director, Fjord Milan; Cornel Amariei, inventor, author, entrepreneur and founder .lumen; and university Professor. Dr. Razvan Bologa, Bucharest Economic Sciences Academy.

The hackathon will see teams choosing between 2 themes for their solutions: social or environment. The solutions resulted will be awarded in the last day of the event, with Euro 6.000, Euro 2000 and Euro 1500.

Change4Impact’s jury includes professionals with IT experience, university professors and sustainability experts: Tamás Levente, conf. univ. Prof. Tech University Cluj Napoca and CEO Robotics.AI, Kőrösi Csilla, Industry X Innovation Lead & Accenture Romania Corporate Citizenship Lead, Emilian Bouros CEO Pulsar Works, Conf. univ. Dr. Christian Sacarea, Prorector Babeș-Bolyai University.

The Accenture event is organized with support from Techsylvania and targets all those with passion for tech, industry, innovation, sustainability and who want a more sustainable world through technology.
