UPDATED: Romanian nominees at EMEA Sabre Awards 2012

Romania has a total of 14 15  16 nominations at EMEA Sabre Awards 2012, with 5 of them that went to The Practice. Also, GolinHarris and Rogalski-Grigoriu PR received 2 nominations each.

The other Romanian agencies nominated are BDR Associates, with 2 campaigns, one – “Now I can see the future” – for Moldavian Government, Nicola Porter Novelli for Disney Junior, FTW Media with “Blogoree Bloggers’ Community”, made together with Romtelecom, Graffiti PR with “Doctor, You Are a Hero!” for Petrom/OMV Romania, Spada with “Withers LLP: The F1 Chief, the Footballer, His Privacy and Their Lawyers” for Withers LLP and Graffiti PR for Romanian Academy Library, with “Figures That Changed the World” Virtual Library, powered by UPC.

In what concerns the other agencies in the competition, according to HolmesReport.com, Grayling – that is also present on Romanian market – tops the list of public relations agencies whose campaigns will be recognized at this year’s Sabre Awards, with firm’s clients receiving 17 nominations in the Gold Sabre categories and two additional nominations for clients of its Atomic subsidiary, specialized in tech PR.

Other PR agencies with double digits in terms of nominations are Burson-Marsteller – 16 nominations, Ketchum Pleon – 15, Porter Novelli – 14, Edelman – 13, Weber Shandwick – 12, Publicis Group agencies – 11 (five for MSLGroup, four for Publicis Consultants, two for Ciszewski MSL) and Ogilvy – 10 (including four each for Ogilvy PR and Russian affiliate SPN Ogilvy and one each of Ogilvy Memac in the Middle East and Ogilvy Health).

Among independent and local firms, Shine Communications and The Red Consultancy, both based in the UK, led the way with seven client campaigns among the finalists, followed by UK agencies Blue Rubicon, Four Communications and Unity and The Practice Romania with five nominations each.

Hill+Knowlton Strategies garnered four nominations (plus one for its branded Lithuanian affiliate), and there were four nominations apiece for international agencies Cohn & Wolfe and Fleishman-Hillard; UK-based Brands2Life; and Jung Relations and Prime PR of Sweden. CROS of Russia, GolinHarris, Infopress of Spain, John Doe Communications and Lexis of the UK, Molthan van Loon Communications of Germany, and The Quadrant Company of Nigeria each earned three nominations.

The Holmes Group also announced the winners of its Silver SABRE Awards for excellence in content creation and PR agency management. Edelman will receive three trophies in these categories, and there are two each for Hering Schuppener of Germany, Inforpress of Spain and Trigger of Norway.

Sabre (Superior Achievement in Branding and Reputation) Awards are organized by The Holmes Group, company leaded by Paul Holmes, the most appreciated PR analyst. The awards were organized for the 1st time in US and, nowadays, with a 25 years tradition, are recognized as the oldest and most important PR competition in America.

In Europe, Sabre Awards have a 10 years history and are already known as the most prestigious competition dedicated to PR industry. Agencies in over 30 countries and thousands of PR programs from EMEA were attracted until now in this competition.
