Impact Hub Bucharest attracts a new partner and a €2M investment from Autonom

Business, Finances, Start Up

Impact Hub Bucharest, organization supporting Romanian entrepreneurs and innovators with coworking spaces, team offices, events and acceleration programs, finishes the process to redefine its development strategy started during the summer with taking over 3house locations and attracts a new shareholder partner, Autonom.

Starting autumn 2019, Autonom became Impact Hub Bucharest partner, investing €2M as equity, bank guarantee letters and credit lines meant to arrange the new spaces.

Autonom is a company with 100% Romanian capital, founded in 2016 in Piatra Neamt, by Marius and Dan Ștefan. It is the main provider of mobility solutions in Romania, with an unique national network, and it is also present on the markets in Hungary and Serbia.

During the summer, Impact Hub Bucharest and 3house merged under the same brand, having as partners Oana and Vlad Craioveanu, co-fouders of the organization, and Ilinca Păun, CEO The Entrepreneurship Academy. In the end of 2019, after a short due-dilligence process, Autonom joined as minority shareholder, with a €2M investment.

The new structure will include a consultative and strategic role for Dan and Marius Ștefan, and also for Ilinca Păun, while the main share package will be controlled by Oana and Vlad Craioveanu.

The investment in Impact Hub fulfills the 2 essential criteria we are looking for in any investment: the business is a sustainable and scalable one, with a business model already confirmed and founders are involved, competent and ethical. Moreover, Impact Hub helps in developing the local entrepreneurial environment, a key direction for Autonom. We are happy that, together with Vlad, Oana and Ilinca, we have the opportunity to take a step in this direction
