Portability option for mobiles, possible starting 2008

Sometimes, people aren’t very happy with the telecom operator they have, blaming the prices, tarifs and options. And many thought to switch networks, but it wasn’t possible.

Well, for the ones that still do want to try a different operator, this is possible starting next year.

“Romanian National Authority of Regulations in Communication and Informational technology (ANRCTI) presented, on Monday, for public consultations, a draft of decision that proposes technical and commercial conditions to introduce the phone numbers portability, option that could be introduced on Romanian market as fast as 2008. In 9 months term since the adopting these conditions by ANRCTI president,  telecom operators have the obligation to offer their own subscribers, at their demands, phone numbers  portability”
