Matthias Graf to become new CCO of Ringier AG

Matthias Graf (41) has been named new head of corporate communications (CCO) of Ringier Group to replace Marco Castellaneta, who will fully concentrate on the management of Ringier Entertainment as of 1 September 2010. Graf will report directly to Ringier CEO Christian Unger, according to a press release.

Matthias Graf will assume his new role as CCO of Ringier AG on September 1st and will also become new media speaker of Ringier Group. Graf served before as head of corporate communications Switzerland and head of engineering communications Europe, Middle East & Africa at Google, where he was responsible for building the communications activities of Google’s technology center in Switzerland.

Graf studied history and German language and literature in Zurich, earned a Master of Science in communications management at the University of Lugano and worked as an editor and freelance journalist for several years.

Graf succeeds Marco Castellaneta, who served as head of corporate communications (CCO) since 2005.
