Romanian football team Steaua launched its own drink

Romanian football team Steaua launched today, as a part of boosting its brand presence, its own Cola drink, “Cola Steaua”, the 1st of this kind belonging to a Romanian football club. The new drink is going to be initially commercialized in 12,500 points of sales in Romania.

The officials of the club hope also that the results of Steaua on the football ground will encourage the supporters to buy the new product.

The marketing director from Steaua explained how the football team got to the decision of launching Cola Steaua.

“We started analyzing the drinks market. From all the fizz drinks, Cola represents 49%. We want, at this time, to cover 12,500 points of sale in Romania, from kiosks to hypermarkets. It is a drink that we hope our supporters will love (…)”, Bobby Durbac, marketing director of Steaua football club said, quoted by Mediafax.
