IKEA Romania chose, following a pitch, The Practice to handle its external communication. The decision to name an agency to handle its PR activities comes after 3 years in which IKEA handled in-house its communication. The contract is effective starting August 15th.
The pitch took place over almost 4 months, in two steps: 10 Romanian PR agencies were invited to the pitch, 5 entered on the shortlist and The Practice was named to handle the account.
Integrating PR in our company’s communication became more and more important, locally and globally. And this matter as we are part of a group of companies that activates in 38 countries. Meanwhile, our objectives in communicating with IKEA’s public in Romania evolved. In this context, we considered that the objective vision of a strategic partner will bring added value on long term for IKEA’s communication on Romanian market. That is why we organized this pitch. We thank to all the agencies that were present to the pitch and we welcome The Practice that, besides the big score on all selection criteria, won us by understanding the brand’s values, their strategic thinking, enthusiasm and creativity.
