Dinu Panescu from McCann Erickson and Ioana Manoiu from GMP PR will be the first 2 Romanian marcomm professionals that will speak about their experience in Cannes, one as part of a team awarded in Cannes Lions 2011 and one as a juror in PR competition of the same festival.
After the 1st morning at Cannes Rehab, focused on active imagination, followed by the presentation of Titanium and Integrated categories, the afternoon will start with a presentation from Dinu Panescu, centered on “How to sell creation in Cannes”. Panescu will focus on Rom’s case study, a brand that dared to bet on a campaign for which McCann Erickson Romania was awarded no less than 9 prizes in Cannes Lions 2011
Dinu Panescu is Group Creative Director and Copywriter McCann Erickson and works in advertising since 2001. He gathered in portfolio over 70 clients, with a permanent focus on telecom and FMCG: Orange, Vodafone, Unilever, Tnuva. He won over 80% of pitches he was involved in, along with his team. Among the clients that accepted the dare from Panescu and his team are Kandia Dulce (Rom, Magura and Kandia) and telecom operators Bite Lithuania and Letonia.
After Panescu’s presentation, another speaker will be Raluca Ciubotaru, that will talk about her in Roger Hatchuel Academy, a competition dedicated to young creatives from all over the world, where Romania was awarded Gold 2 years in the row.
Ioana Manoiu, leader of GMP PR, represented Romania this year in Cannes Lions’ PR Juty. She will talk about her experience at the festival on October 8th, at Cannes Rehab. Ioana’s presentation will be “Trends in contemporary PR”, improved with examples from her experience as juror in Cannes.
After she worked in press and than as a PR director at Graffiti/BBDO, Ioana Manoiu launched her PR company – GMP PR – in 2005. Her agency became, in short time, an usual on the international awards podiums, winning different accolades such as “The Newcomer Agency of the Year” and “Best PR Launch of the Year” at European Excellence Awards and 4 Sabre Awards in different categories, including Community Relations, Publicity Stunt and Public Education. Also, the agency was nominated numerous times: 10 mentions at European Excellence Awards, Sabre Awards and Green Awards. Ioana attended and graduated in 2010 an Executive MBA at Berlin School of Creative Leadership.
In the same day with Ioana’s presentation, Saturday, there will take place the 1st session of Creative Cooking, a demonstrations signed by Bacania Veche, and will be obviously followed by a tasting session.
Cannes Rehab is a creative camp for the ones that cherish the intelligent approach of communication. Cannes Rehab starts on October 6th and will have sessions in spaces offered by the most interesting Romanian advertising agencies, lasting for a week.
Cannes Rehab is monetizing both the study experiences post-Cannes and also personal development programs and creativity development beyond advertising.
