BRAT: Rate cards online advertising value in September – Euro 8.5M

BRAT (Romanian Bureau for Press Audit) released data from MIPO (Investment Monitoring in Online Advertising) study for September 2011, that shows that online advertising investments, estimated at rate cards, reached Euro 8.5m.

This amount  includes display advertising, standard advertising and barters, without including self-promotion or cross-promotion.

MIPO study started to collect info and release estimates since August 2011. The study is completing info offered to the online advertising industry by BRAT, that also include websites traffic, number of visitors and socio-demographic profile for SATI measured websites.

Auto sector had the biggest investments online – 12% of total investments – followed by appliances retailers and stores (11%), telecom services (10%), banking services (6%), online services affiliated websites (6%).

The clients with the biggest online investments in the measured period were Altex, Orange, Procter&Gamble, Visa, Domo and Ford Romania.

In brands classament, the brands that were the most promoted online are Altex, Orange, Visa, Domo, Ford, Koyos, Fundeal.ro, Renault, Proiect Rosia Montana and BDT Motors.

Libertatea.ro, Realitatea.net and Cancan.ro are the 3 websites that attracted more than half million Euro (ratecard) from advertising in September. The next in top are adevarul.ro, gsp.ro, hi5.com, evz.ro, antena3.ro, sport.ro and click.ro.

In September 2011, BRAT monitored over 1,000 websites representative for Romanian online medium. From those, 250 have the traffic and audience also measured through SATI.
