Ahmed Hassan – appointed Country Leader for Romania and Moldova at Deloitte

Marketing

Ahmed Hassan, Audit Partner in Charge and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Deloitte Central Europe (DCE), has recently been appointed Office Managing Partner of Deloitte Balkans, the cluster including Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova Republic, Albania and Kosovo. He has also assumed the Country Leader position for Romania and Moldova.

Hassan, aged 43, has been working for Deloitte in Romania since 1999 and has been a partner for 9 years. He was the first Partner from the Balkans to be part of the DCE Board and the first Chairman of the Board coming from this region (starting January 1, 2009).

Following the new responsibilities within the Balkan cluster, Hassan has already stepped down from the Audit Partner in Charge position for the Balkans that has been taken over by Sylvia Peneva from Deloitte Bulgaria. His responsibilities as DCE Chairman of Board will end as of December 31st 2011.

As Office Managing Partner for the Balkan cluster, he will coordinate Deloitte offices’ activities within different departments, develop and lead business strategies and ensure high quality services to the Firm’s clients.

I feel honored for this appointment, which proves partners’ confidence in my abilities and capacity to assume such an important role

My number one priority is to pursue the Deloitte global strategy of becoming a Client Centric firm, while also focusing on long-term, sustainable growth. In parallel, I want to encourage transparent and clear communications outside and within the Firm, so as to build a strong, confident team of professionals that act and think As One. While we will continue to focus on predefined business lines and key industries, we plan to explore new opportunities – within or outside the business circle, aiming to consolidate our brand visibility and reputation around the region, on our way of becoming the number 1 professional services Firm in the region
