The best Romanian online projects were awarded at Internetics 2011, during a Gala that took place Tuesday night.
The agencies that went on the stage are Create Direct, Discovery Romania, GreenPixel, H Media, Headvertising, Hyperactive, iLeo, Kaleidoscope, Kinecto, McCann Erickson, MRM Worldwide, Odyssey Communication, Senior Interactive, Smile Media, The Geeks and Universal McCann Romania.
Jury awarded a total of 29 trophies for online campaigns realized for brands such as Always, British American Tobacco, Create Direct (self-promo), Discovery Channel, Efix, Groupama, Kinder Surprise, Medlife, Orange, Petrom, Pilot Frixion, ROM Autentic, Savana and Tuborg.
iLeo got 8 trophies, earning the most points in the competition and winning the Agency of the Year 2011 title. The same agency won Gold also in Sites, micro-sites and promo blogs category and Silver in Interactive Campaigns sections.
The most awarded projects in competition were “Rediscover Romania”, developed by iLeo for Petrom (6 awards), “American ROM”, signed by MRM Worldwide, McCann Erickson & Universal McCann Romania (3 awards, including Gold at Interactive Campaigns), and “Kinder Surprise story”, signed by Hyperactive (3 awards, among which a Bronze in Sites, micro-sites and promo blogs and special prize for Webdesign).
For the new category Best Use of Mobile, the award went to iLeo, for the mobile app developed for “Rediscover Romania”, client Petrom.
During the Gala, Petrom got also Webvertiser of the Year trophy, awarded by IAB Romania. Petrom was designated winner of the prize following the vote of IAB Romania’s Managing Board.

By awarding this distinction every year, we want to encourage as many advertisers to have significant presence in online and to integrate in as many ways as possible this communication channel in their marketing mix. Also, we consider that the Webvertiser of the Year award is transmitting a message and a model towards industry regarding the creativity, innovation, efficiency, relevance and consistency as benefits of this channel

Create Direct won Best Use of Email Marketing for its self-promo, a carol for agency’s clients realized in a special way. “For this project to be succesfull, we set up some essential steps. We selected a data base with 3 important criteria: name, email and mobile phone number. Each client was receiving a customized email (e-card) from his agency account. The mechanism, trigger type, was activating 3 seconds after opening the email. In our IVR platform, it was automatically sent a voice flux on clients mobile phone that was exactly the Christmas carol. The phone was ringing, the client answered and he was able to listen to the carol sang by the kids in the animated images from the email”, Cosmin Lacatusu, executive director of Create Direct, said.

Internetics 2011 reunited 232 works from 47 agencies that competed in the 3 categories of the awards: Sites, micro-sites and promo blogs, Best Use and Interactive Campaigns.
