Ursus Breweries changed its management team

Mihai Barsan is the new Vice President on Marketing at Ursus Breweries, replacing Grant McKenzie, that takes over heading SABMiller in Czech Republic.

On the other hand,Krzysztof Andrzejewski was appointed Vice President for Sales and Distribution, a position he insured the interim since September 2011.

We believe that international experience accumulated by Mihai, which is completed by Romanian consumers knowledge, will positively reflect on Ursus Breweries brands portfolio. We will lack Grant’s passion and enthusiasm for our brands, but we wish him luck in his new and exciting dare on Czech market (…) I am also happy to confirm Krzysztof appointement as Vice President Sales & Distribution, being convinced that commercial performances of the company will reach new standards under his leadership

President Ursus Breweries

Mihai Barsan joined Ursus Breweries in March 2005 and, in April 2009, he became Marketing Manager SABMiller Europe. Since October 2009, he was appointed Marketing Director of Slovak subsidiary. His mission as Vice President of Marketing Ursus Breweries will start in April 1st 2012.

Grant McKenzie joined Ursus Breweries in April 2009. Previously to that, Grant headed the marketing and trade department at Cervecera de Canarias (SABMiller Canare), as a Marketing Director.

Krzysztof Andrzejewski started his activity at Ursus Breweries in March 2010. Previous to his appointement at Ursus Breweries, he was  Financial and Operations Director at Kompania Piwowarska in Poland.

Ursus Breweries, part of SABMiller plc, is one of the main beer producers in Romania. Its portfolio of brands includes Ursus, Timisoreana, Ciucas, Peroni Nastro Azzurro, Grolsch, Pilsner Urquell, Azuga, Redd’s and Stejar.
