McCann Erickson and Saatchi, 3 times on Direct shortlist at #CannesLions


McCann Erickson Romania and Saatchi&Saatchi are the 1st Romanian agencies to enter shortlists this year at Cannes, within Direct Lions.

As Cannes Lions just started, delegates and speakers are gathering around the Palais des Festivals, and on the Boulevard de la Croisette and the nominees are starting to get nervous because this is the most prestigious advertising awards ceremony in the world and the stakes are high.

As the first three shortlists were announced,  Direct, Promo and Activation Lions, Romania has already 3 campaigns nominated.

From Saatchi & Saatchi, “Plant the bill” for Enel is finalist in “Flat mailing category” for Direct.

When it comes to BV McCann Erickson Bucharest, they are finalists in 2 categories “Best low budgets” and “Best integrated campaign lead by direct marketing”. The nominated campaign is “Romanians are smart”, for Rom.

Six more shortlists will be revealed tomorrow, before the first Awards Ceremony on Monday Evening. We keep our fingers crossed for Romanian agencies! And of course, we wish them to come with some lions home also!
