Carmen Georgescu was promoted Marketing Manager East Europe South Cluster within Electrolux, due to her expertise in the field and to the results achieved as Marketing and Communication Manager Electrolux Romania. In her new position, Carmen will coordinate marketing activities specific for the 10 countries she will manage and she will also have the mission to look for further possibilities to develop the business in Romania.
Starting July 1st, Carmen Georgescu took over her new job, being now in charge for Electrolux’s marketing activities in Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Macedonia, Montenegro, Moldavia, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and Hungary.
Unifying Electrolux’s regional marketing strategy will have direct benefits over developing company’s business in Romania. Among others, there is taken in consideration the possibility to create a regional hub that would generate ideas and strategies that can be, afterwards, adapted and applied depending on each country’s specifics.
Within the global marketing plan, digital has an important role, as Electrolux aims to develop a a constant presence online and in social media, offering this way to consumer the possibility to faster interact with its products and give feedback in real time.
Romania innovated within Electrolux by creating the communication and social media platform “Passion4Cooking” – considered “Best Practice” inside Electrolux international network and awared at PR Award 2011 with Silver Award for Excellence in Digital PR and Social Media and shortlisted at Sabre for Gold Award, in “The Balkans” category. For almost 2 years, over 50 Romanian bloggers – passioned by cooking or not – participated to events made under “Passion4Cooking” umbrella.
From her new position, Georgescu has the possibility to expand this platform also in other countries that are interested to run similar projects
As Marketing and Communication Manager Electrolux Romania, a position she occupied since January 1996, Carmen Georgescu (44) was in charge with developing marketing and communication strategies for Electrolux in Romania, participated together with product managers to developing marketing and communication strategies for newly launched products and maintained the relation with Electrolux’s commercial partners, agents and distribution at national level. Also, she handled all the local ATL, BTL and PR for Electrolux, AEG and Zanussi brands.
