Endangered species – the promo for Malibu International Film Festival

“Endangered Species” is a short independent film by an independent filmmaker about independent film-making for an independent film festival.

Created for the Malibu International Film Festival, “Endangered Species” is the latest from writer/director Olivier Agostini, via LA based production company Kontagious and agency-hybrid Creme Brulee. The spot portrays the independent filmmaker as an endangered species, told in a comedic wildlife documentary-style short film.

Likening independent filmmakers to endangered species instantly establishes the plight and hardships of not only preserving such an art form, but nurturing and encouraging its survival (…) Although the spot is comedic in nature, the underlying message acknowledges the challenges and obstacles independent filmmakers face on a daily basis.
