McCann Erickson Bucharest is present in Big Won rankings for 2012 , ranking 4th in the top of the best integrated agencies in the world. McCann Romania made it into Big Won also last year, for its Rom campaign.
The first 3 positions in the top are occupied by Crispin Porter Bogusky, 72andSunny and Leo Burnett Beirut.
In Europe, top agencies are from Germany (ranking #1, #3, #5, #8, #10), followed by UK, Sweden, France and Belgium.
The rankings in 2012 are based on 4,459 campaigns or pieces of creative work which won awards at 39 shows around the world. 1,595 agencies won an award somewhere in 2012, 2,389 Creative Directors were involved, along with 683 Executive Creative Directors and 330 Chief Creative Officers. They were working with 2,560 art directors and 2,415 copywriters to create award winning works.
According to the editors, more awards in the top reflects a change in marketing communications over the last decade with agencies all creating campaigns with measurable response rates. The ATL agencies are now entering and winning at Direct Marketing shows. In 2012, only three agencies in the world’s Top 10 for Direct Marketing are specialist Direct agencies – Shackleton Madrid (#4), OgilvyOne London (#5) and Proximity London (#9)
The most creative agency in 2012 was Colenso BBDO Auckland, winner of 110 awards (30% of them Golds or Grands Prix) with 20 separate pieces of work for 11 different clients. Ranking 2nd, BBDO New York won 119 awards with 52 separate pieces of work for 16 different clients, while the 3rd place was claimed by Serviceplan Munich with 77 awards for 15
In top countries, USA leads, followed by Germany and UK.
BBDO Worldwide was again, for the 6th year in the row, the most awarded agency network across all marketing communication disciplines.
