Product of the Year – less than 5 days to enter the Romanian FMCG competition

The entries in “Product of the Year” competition 2013 edition are still possible for less than 5 days. During this period, FMCG producers can enter their products to try to win the title for their products. The deadline for entries is March 22nd.

The competition is open to all FMCG products launched in Romania during last 18 months (October 2011 – March 2013). Products must be innovative in one or more domains such as design, formula, packaging, with producers being able to enter in competition more products, even in the same category.

Winners are designated following the largest market study made at national level, on a panel of 4,000 Romanian consumers. This has as a purpose identifying consumers’ degree of interest towards new products. Within the study are measured attractiveness, innovation and consumers satisfaction towards the products entered into the competition.

The winning products receive the right to use the logo “Voted Product of the Year” on the packaging and in all their communication materials for 12 months since the official announcement is made.

The title also represents a differentiation from the competition, through a relevance plus offered by involving consumers perspective, a certification that helps build trust in the brand. According to researches, the label “Voted the product of the year” contributes to increasing sales by until 25%

In Romania, Product of the Year is represented by Media Concept Store, agency that coordinates and manages the activities of the entire project. The study will be made in April by EXACT Research & Consultancy – member ESOMAR and the winners will be announced during a gala scheduled to take place in May.

This competition offers the participants the opportunity to find out consumers’ perception towards innovation, satisfaction and attractiveness of their products, compared to the ones belonging to the competitors
