“How to win an Effie” – tips & tricks for agencies that want to enter works in competition

Romanian Effie Awards Organizing Committee organizes this year also the “How to win an EFFIE” seminar, aiming to help the agencies that will enter works into the competition this year.

During the seminar, the participants will receive recommendations on how to enter works to Effies and how to write their case studies, along with examples of case studies that have received accolades in 2012.

The speakers of the seminar are Teodora Popescu-Birlan (President Effie Organizing Commitee & Communication Director Procter & Gamble Balkans), Stefan Chiritescu (Head of Strategy Graffiti BBDO), Alina Buzatu (Head of Planning G2 Romania), Alexandra Iavorschi (Managing Director Starcom MediaVest), Costin Radu (Managing Partner The Geeks) and Loredana Caradimu (Strategic Planning & Business Development Director Ogilvy & Mather Romania).

For this year’s edition of the competition, Effie’s Organizing Committee introduced 6 new categories and reorganized and redefined some of the existing ones, also updating “Shopper Marketing” category.

The “Shopper Marketing” category, which was introduced in this festival two years ago, it’s some kind of “hot star” of the festival and certainly will benefit from a lot of attention from advertisers and professionals in marketing and communication.

Started from a producer or retailer, the entrant campaign in the “Shopper Marketing” category will have to fulfill two conditions: it’s purpose has to influence a route that a shooper takes which concerns a basic need or a shopper problem and it needs to demonstrate how the creative ideea takes into consideration a retailers characteristics.
