BBDO was the most awarded agency network at 2014 Facebook Studio Awards, awards that reached their 3rd year and which recognize excellence in creating more engaging, delightful experiences for people, and helping to make Facebook an even more powerful platform for advertisers.
Jury members were selected from Facebook’s Creative Council and winners were judged based on a combination of craft and execution, scale and targeting, and business results. This year, entries were received from 80 different countries and only 15 trophies were awarded, BBDO agencies winning three of them.
Colenso BBDO and AIM Proximity in New Zealand won one of the competition’s highest honors – a Blue Trophy for Best Goodwill Marketing for its “Trial by Timeline” campaign for Amnesty International. The campaign was launched in February 2013 and gathered global traction, reaching over 200 countries. Amnesty sections in Sweden, Turkey, South Korea, Denmark and Norway have requested translations of the software. Although the goal was to get 100,000 unique visits to the site, the campaign attracted 340,000 unique visits. Moreover, campaign aimed to reach 1M people on Facebook and half million on Twitter: it reached to 6,92M, not including retweets, on Twitter and to 9M people on Facebook.
The agencies also shared another award – Silver for “The Smart Phone Line” for Samsung New Zealand, while Clemenger BBDO in Melbourne was the other BBDO agency winner, earning Silver for “FootifyFM” for Australia National Bank.
Earlier this year, BBDO was also recognized as the most awarded agency network in the world in digital in The Gunn Report for a second year in a row.
