Program announced for Golden Hammer Festival 2016

The 17th Golden Hammer international advertising festival will be held in Jurmala on 3 June and will feature lectures by the heads of industry-leading advertising and communications agencies about the opportunities and challenges the industry faces today. The festival will conclude with the traditional awards ceremony in the evening.

The conference will take place at the Jurmala SPA Hotel from 10.00 to 17.00. Reflecting Golden Hammer’s international stature, the conference language will be English. Industry luminaries and Festival jury members – Folker Wrage, Chief Creative Officer, Havas Worldwide, Switzerland; Michael Preuss, Creative Director and Founder, Preuss und Preuss, Germany; Ulrich Proeschel, Global Business Development, Digital Arts Network, TBWA\Worldwide, Germany; Hilary Jeffrey, President EMEA, PHD, United Kingdom; Christina Forsgård, Chair and Partner, Netprofile Finland, Finland; Kerrie Finch, CEO and Founder of FinchFactor, Netherlands, as well as Tomas Nemuro, CEO of The Chocolate, Lithuania; Irina Shmidt, Design Director and Ekaterina Saburova, Account Director, DEZA graphic design studio St. Petersburg, Russia – will stimulate the conference audience with thought-provoking and challenging talks.

Following the practice popularly launched last year, the conference will end with one of the most anticipated events of the festival – presentations of the works that succeeded in reaching the finals. As last year, there is sure to be animated discussion about which ones will go on to receive Golden Hammer awards at the ceremony later in the evening.

This year, that Awards Ceremony will be in the form of a celebratory dinner at the fine, riverside Laivas restaurant.

The tradition-rich Golden Hammer advertising festival has firmly established itself as a major regional international event at which the previous year’s best creative works in advertising and communications are celebrated and rewarded. The competition juries will particularly be looking for works utilising creative ideas and originality to excite viewers and making important contributions to the value of brands.
