Golden Drum announced 2018 shortlists

Creativity, Festivals & Awards

25th Golden Drum announced the finalists of this year’s competition. Almost 1200 creative works compete for the prestigious Golden Drum Awards, and now it is known which entries made it to the first round. The gala event on Friday night where Golden Drum winners will be announced is the most highly anticipated event of the Festival. The Golden Drum Grand Award Ceremony will start at 20.30.

This year the work is different, it’s more related to changes that are happening in our business. The advertising changes, and we can feel more and more the presence of technology and science in it. The most important thing is that we still have genius loci among the works from this region. That means that some of the works are still carrying the local spirit that can shine internationally. I am truly happy about that. I hope we helped with selecting the best work

I want to thank my fellow jury members for coming here with an open mind, for taking the time and dedicating long hours of their precious time to go through hundreds of case studies – all for the good of the industry. We are really proud of the work we ended up on the winner’s list, and I believe the region is growing creatively. You can see this in the number of campaigns that take their inspiration from a local insight, staying true to the founding idea of this festival – the “genius loci.
