Romanian Effie Awards 2019: 31 awards scooped by 13 agencies and companies

13 agencies and companies were awarded during the Gala marking the closure of the 16th edition of Romanian Effies. The event took place at Romanian Atheneum and was hosted by Andi Moisescu. From the total 31 awards, 9 were gold, 6 silver and 16 bronze.

The winning agencies and companies at Romanian Effie 2019 are Cohn & Jansen JWT, Graffiti BBDO, GMP+Webstyler, Headvertising, Jazz Communication, Leo Burnett Romania, McCann Worldgroup Romania, Mercury360 Communications, Ogilvy Group Romania, Propaganda, Publicis Romania, Sector 7 and Ursus Breweries.

The agencies that scored most points during competition were Leo Burnett Romania, McCann Worldgroup Romania and Media Investment.

Leo Burnett Romania took home 9 awards (4 Gold, 1 Silver and 4 Bronze). The categories Leo was awarded were Brand Experience  (VloggemonGO and Hotelekom, both with Gold Effie for client Telekom), Seasonal Marketing  (2 Gold Effie for Hotelekom and Don’t let yourself be fooled, brand: Telekom), Telecommunications (Don’t let yourself be fooled – Silver Effie and Neabonamentul / The Unsubscription – Bronze Effie, both for Telekom), Media Idea (1 Bronze Effie for Telekom with VloggemonGO), Use of Influencers (1 Bronze Effie for VloggemonGO) and Shopper Marketing (1 Bronze Effie for Bunorama, brand: Kaufland).

McCann Worldgroup Romania scooped 8 awards – 1 Gold, 2 Silver and 5 Bronze. The awards were in Branded Content (1 Gold Effie for KFC BoxMaster – Friendzone), Packaged food (1 Silver Effie for KFC Garlic Sauce), Telecommunications (1 Silver Effie for Vodafone Prepaid “Live Life Like a Game”), Alcoholic beverages – Beers (1 Bronze Effie for The proper men of the new generation for Neumarkt), Non-alcoholic beverages (1 Bronze Effie for INNA Music Cans Album), Restaurants (1 Bronze Effie for KFC Booster – Limited Edition) and Seasonal Marketing (2 Bronze Effie for KFC XMas Bucket – When Mom Allows and #samefeeling from Coca-Cola).

Most efficient clients of this year’s Romanian Effies are Telekom România (8 awards: 4 Gold, 1 Silver and 3 Bronze Effie), US Food Network (4 awards: 1 Gold, 1 Silver and 2 Bronze Effie) and PressOne (3 trophies: 2 Gold and 1 Bronze). In terms of brands, the top spot is occupied by Telekom, followed by KFC and PressOne.

Brands with winning campaigns at Romanian Effie Awards 2019 are: Children’ Heart Association, catmobile, Coca-Cola, Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, “Dăruiește Viață” (Give Life), George, ING Bank, Kaufland, KFC, Neumarkt, Orange, PressOne, Pufina, Rexona, Telekom, Ursus Retro and Vodafone.

According to Romanian Effie Rankings, it resulted that the Client of the Year was Telekom Romania, that also scooped The Brand of the Year, while the Agency of the Year went to Leo Burnett Romania.

The festival did not awarded any Grand Effie this year, while a detailed list of winners is available on Effie’s website.
