Cresta Awards signs deal with Chinese creative platform TOPYS

Cresta has announced a partnership with one of China’s foremost creative websites, TOPYS.cn, platform which covers design, advertising, technology, art and culture and is available both in Mandarin and English. Cresta Awards winners will, due to this partnership, enjoy exposure on the mentioned platform.

Founded in 2003, TOPYS is one of the earliest and most popular creative vertical websites in China. TOPYS has interviewed over 100 top-tier creative individuals and groups from all over the world, published over 3000 original stories, and accumulated more than 1 billion page views.

TOPYS claims “Open Your Mind” as its purpose and sees itself as a platform, an incubator, a bridge between readers, creators and companies, to help them change the world.

It has been at the forefront of the huge perception shift from Made in China to Created in China and sees connecting China with global creative trends as a major role.

The deal will mean Cresta supplying TOPYS with exclusive content including unrivaled coverage of its winners. The TOPYS audience is both influential and large – 3 million monthly page views, 500,000 monthly unique web visitors, 800,000 WeChat followers, 1 million subscribes from other platforms.

Already Cresta winners from 2018 such as McCann, AMV BBDO and BETC are benefiting from this exclusive coverage. This year’s top prize winners, however, can expect even better opportunities to spread the word across China. As well as analysis of the work, TOPYS will also feature Cresta interviews with top creatives from winning agencies and exclusive comments from our Grand Jury.

Lewis Blackwell, CEO of Cresta:

From day one we have been determined to take Cresta into China and find a way not just to attract entries from that country but also deliver great coverage for our winners in what is such an explosive and exciting marketplace for creativity and technology. TOPYS is the ideal partner for us as we both have a very strong commitment to original ideas and the people/agencies creating them.
