Guinness: What do the hands do while waiting for a beer?

Ads, Creativity

The latest TV ad in Guinness’s “Good things come to those who wait” campaign features a pair of hands performing quirky movements while waiting to be served a pint of the dark stuff, according to The Guardian.

Guinness’s new ad, created by Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO, is part of a campaign that also includes a website, www.guinnesshands.com, where users can mix and customise their own version of the ad, called “Hands”, which they can then forward on to friends.

The campaign initiated by Diageo GB had £2.5M marketing budget and included TV, cinema and online advertising,  digital outdoor ads in stadiums, pubs and key London Underground stations.

Media planning and buying for the campaign has been handled by media agency Carat.
