News more searched than celebrities on Yahoo in 2010

News were more searched than celebrities in 2010, the oil spill in Gulf of Mexico and World Cup topping the list of most-searched items on Yahoo this year, according to Reuters.

This is the 1st time when news came up first since Yahoo began publishing its yearly review a decade ago.

World Cup was searched for as both a sporting event and a cultural experience.

The list also identify the top trends, searches and news items from several categories.

The main questions for people that used Yahoo Search were “How to tie a tie” – No. 1,  “how to lose weight”, “how to kiss” and “how to write a resume.”
