Kantar Media will take over from GfK Romania and will measure Romanian TV audience starting 2012, a contract with an estimated value of Euro 10,5M, according to Pagina de media.
Kantar Media will measure Romanian TV audiences starting 2012 until 2015, as the decision to appoint the company was taken on during a meeting that took place on Monday, at Romanian Audiovisual Council ‘s headquarters.
For now, GfK Romania measures the TV audience, based on a contract that will end at the end of 2012.
The companies that competed to become new TV audience monitoring company were Kantar Media, Nielsen Company, GfK and MediaResearch.
According to ReporterVirtual, Andi Dumitrescu, General Manager GfK Romania, was surprised by the decision, saying that he found out about it from the press.
