Razvan Capanescu, Chief Creative Officer Publicis Bucharest, is part of the final jury at Ad Stars festival, alongside 26 top international creative professionals. As juror at Ad Stars, Capanescu will be part of a jury chaired by Neil French, a living legend of the global advertising industry
Razvan Capanescu is Chief Creative Officer Publicis Bucharest since 2006 and realized some of the most acclaimed creative premiers of the agency: 1st Golden Drum award, 1st Epica Awards, 1st Cannes Lions finalist, 1st admissions in Luerzer’s Archive and 1st Intercontinental Advertising Cup won by an agency from Romania. He is also member of the Art Directors Club and represented Romania in grand juries of festivals such as Eurobest or New York Festival.
Ad Stars 2011 is the world’s first convergence advertising festival that integrates online and offline participation based on an online system that allows entries anytime from anywhere and operates an open platform on which advertising professionals can share information. In addition, via social media and smart-phone applications, the festival is opened to participation 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Winners at AdStars are awarded prizes in money, with $ 10,000 per Grand Prix.
Ad Stars is Korea’s only festival of its kind and the number of entries in the competition grew from 3,105 works in the first year to 7,130 works this year .
During the past four years, Publicis Romania has recorded 57 awards and finalists at local and international advertising festivals such as Ad’Or, AdPrint, AdSpotAward, Effie, Epica, Eurobest, Cresta, Golden Drum, Golden Hammer, Internetics, New York Festivals, Cannes International Creative Festival. Recent wins include two Bronzes at the New York Festivals, Epica Bronze, two Silver Effies, three ADOR trophies (Romanian Advertising Festival).
