The launch of 11 new stores that got network numbers to 118 is part of Lidl’s strategy to offer daily to Romanians, in their immediate proximity, quality products for the best price, directly from producers. Lidl also promotes working together with local producers.
The image campaign also focuses on emphasizing on regional specifics of its products portfolio.
The 11 newly launched stores launched under its own brand join Lidl network of 107 stores, previously branded as Plus and that were brought in 2010.
The company has 2,000 employees in Romania. In Europe, Lidl is one of the biggest food stores chains, with activities in over 20 countries and over 9,000 stores.
