According to Facebrands.ro and Facebrands PRO, over 4.4M Romanians (4,406,580) are using Facebook and 91% of them declared the residence town on their profiles.
The number of Facebook users increased by 83% compared to the same period of 2011, when there were 2,40M users, and by 5.8% compared to December 2011.
The most Facebook users in Romania are in Bucharest (1,05M, 26,13%), than in Cluj-Napoca, Timisoara and Iasi.
An analysis made by Facebrands shows that, geographically, the regions where Facebook is most present are Muntenia (including Bucharest) – 38.64%, Transylvania – 19.18% and Moldavia – 14.24%, with the rest of the regions as it follows: Banat, Oltenia, Dobrogea, Crisana, Bucovina and Maramures.
Facebook users were exposed, during the last 4 months, to over 11,000 ads and there were created over 6,000 tabs on the 15,600 pages monitored by Facebook Pro in its Intelligence module.
