Volksbank and Graffiti BBDO transformed a subway station in Bucharest in a spectacular scenery

Volksbank and Graffiti BBDO transformed, for a month, a subway station in Bucharest in one of the 273 extraordinary places to visit in Romania. This way, from June 27th to July 27th, Aurel Vlaicu subway station transformed in a space that shows the beauty of Oasa area, projected in 3D.

The OOH project developed by BBDO Group is part of Volksbank’s anniversary campaign, that brings forward the TV story. BBDO Group estimated the subway station will be transited, during the campaign, by over 400,000 people.

Projected on columns, floor and walls of the subway stations, the image of Oasa area is breathtaking, as BBDO representatives say.

Sometimes, good things are happening following a series of fortunate coincidences. We happened find the photo, made by Daniel Alexandrescu, over the internet and we knew that, sometimes, somewhere, we would use it, and this project represented the perfect opportunity

This special project continues the idea of Volksbank’s communication campaign, in which we salute Magda Savuica for her joy of discovering beautiful places in Romania. If TV commercial follow Magda in her travel through places unknown for many of us, this time we want people to experience, in 3D, the joy to discover themselves one of the wonderful places in our country. Although an impressive project by the execution, it invites to a joy as simple and natural as possible, a message that Volksbank want to bring on the agenda of our more and more busy life

The BBDO Group Romania team involved in this project included Alex Strimbeanu – Group Creative Director, Razvan Alexandrescu – Art Director, Ioana Ghilerdea – Group Account Director, Bogdan Tanculescu – Account Manager, Oana Preda – Senior Account Executive, Roxana Panturoiu – Client Service Director, Mirabela Pricopi – Group Account Director and Dan Balasoiu – OOH Manager.

The 3D executions were made by a New Folder team including Dan Vezentan – retouching, anamorphic projecting, Oana Marinica – projecting, building, 3D mapping, Andrei Namolosanu – retouching and Cristi Farcas and Nicolae Chiris – supervising and tech support.
