Centrade Saatchi & Saatchi Romania reached with 5 works on 3 categories shortlists at the 19th edition of Golden Drum international advertising festival, taking place these days in Portoroz
The campaign “Repetition” made for Horia Motoi Aid Association for Autistic Children Romania was shortlisted in two categories: New or Innovative and Integrated Communication Campaigns, whilst “Motivational GPS / 300”, “Motivational GPS / Braveheart” and “Motivational GPS / Gladiator” (client Toyota) got in finels in Radio competition.
“Repetition” has behind a creative idea focusing on the fact that autistic kids parents are affected by the syndrome as much as their kids are. On April 2, on Autism World Day, as part of the campaign, Saatchi & Saatchi convinced all the important Romanian media channels to participate and to repeat for a few times their usual speech. Thus, the message of the campaign was delivered: “The parents of an autistic child repeat every word for a thousand times until the child understands it” .
Saatchi&Saatchi team working on this campaign included Johan Ohlson (Executive Creative Director), Laura Iane (Group Creative Director), Marius Tianu (Senior Copywriter), Bogdan Vintila & Vlad Giogu (Art Director), Loredana Barla & Andrei Nica (Copywriter), Carmen Barda (Group Account Director), Ioana Hurdubelea (Account Manager).
For “Motivational GPS”, the campaign team included Johan Ohlson (Executive Creative Director), Laura Iane (Group Creative Director), Andrei Nica (Copywriter), Ema Spirache / Corina Bratu (Account Director / Manager), Alexandra Ivan (Group Account Director).
Except Saatchi, 8 other Romanian agencies entered the finals at Golden Drum:
McCann Erickson Bucharest and “Romanians are Smart” – recently awarded at Romanian Webstock – were twice shortlisted at Golden Drum, within “Integrated communication campaigns” and “Digital”.
CohnandJansen JWT and their Aqua Carpatica campaign “Vote for purity” was shortlisted within “Integrate communication campaigns” section.
Leo Burnett Romania & Target was shortlisted within “New or innovative” section for their Second Life campaign for Gazeta Sporturilor & Mihai Neșu Foundation.
Next Advertising and “You are not on target” campaign for Biz Days was shortlisted within “Film” section.
Papaya Advertising and their TV spot for Save Rosia Montana – Dragoș Bucur and “Save Rosia Montana” campaign was shortlisted within “Film” section.
Publicis Bucharest was shortlisted within “Press” section with “Elevator” and “Dinner” ads made for Oral-B and within “Integrated communication campaigns” section for “Your last journey” campaign made for the Romanian Police.
Webstyler, the digital agency from GMP group, was shortlisted within “Digital” section for The Outlander Adventure, a campaign made for Mitsubishi whilst MRM Worldwide Romania was also shortlisted in “Digital Section” for Vodafone’s – “Manager SRL” campaign.
Another finalist is, according to IQAds, APP&Go Mobile studio was also shortlisted within “Mobile” section, with “Vrancea Earthquake alert” app.
Golden Drum started on October 2nd and takes place, as the tradition established it, in Portorož. The event includes lectures, panel of discussions and workshops on different subjects.
During the event, Hall of Fame enriched with two new advertising personalities that influenced creativity’s development in New Europe: Ami Hasan, Founder, Chief Creative Officer and Chairman of hasan & partners (Finland) and the late Juli Nemes (Hungarian creative decesed in February 2011).
