Johan Ohlson from Saatchi&Saatchi Bucharest, to judge Outdoor and Radio at Eurobest 2013

Johan Ohlson, Executive Creative Director Saatchi&Saatchi Bucharest, was selected to represent Romania as juror in the Outdoor& Radio jury at this year’s Eurobest.

Ohlson joins, this way, to a number of professionals that represented Romania, over the time, at Eurobest, festival dedicated to European creativity.

Eurobest is scheduled to take place in December, in Lisbon, and will reunite, as every year, “la crème de la crème” in European marketing and advertising.

On the Romanian shortlist with proposals for Eurobest 2013 juries were also Mihaela Paduraru – Media Concept Store, for her extensive experience in outdoor,  Nir Refuah – MRM Worldwide – for his fresh approach in evaluating any creative concept, and Frank Mayr – Affichage – for the experience in OOH innovation.

Eurobest earned, in time, the reputation of experiment festival. It is the last festival of the year and, maybe because of that, also the most  demanding one. On the scene of Eurobest seminaries are presented the most courageous approaches in the European marcomm. What passes through the validation of the educated public from Eurobest will transform, for sure, in topic in next year’s Cannes. Eurobest seems to end a cycle when, in reality, it is always in the vanguard and that is why it is a very special event

Johan Ohlson

Johan Ohlson started his advertising career in 1995 and worked, over the time, for agencies such as BBDO Hamburg, Scholz & Friends Hamburg, Team One Warsaw and DDB Warsaw. For Saatchi, he worked in Budapest and Warsaw. He has awards and nominations at Cannes Lions, One Show, Epica, Eurobest or Montreux.

He joined Saatchi Romania in 2012 and, under his creative lead, the agency won a Bronze in Cannes and was shortlisted, one year later, at the same festival.

Graduate of Miami Ad School, Johan understood the importance of education in advertising so he became one of the most consequent and appreciated tutors of  The Alternative School for Creative Thinking.

The Alternative School for Creative Thinking is one of the projects ran by Cannes Lions Romania, platform that, during the last 9 years, promoted local creativity at global scale, both for young professionals and seniors with unique results within the industry.

IAF – International Advertising Festival is the organizer of regional and global festivals such as  Eurobest, Dubai Lynx, Spikes Asia and the renown Cannes Lions.
