Anne Marie Obretin was elected Executive Director of Romanian Advertising Agencies Association (UAPR), following a decision made by UAPR’s board. She will have the mission to develop organization’s strategy and to continue to protect the interest of Romanian advertising agencies.
Anne Marie Obretin has a licence in linguistics and a post-university degree in language and European cultures’ research at Exceter University UK.
My target is to become a strong voice of Romanian advertising, to handle the growth, development and implementation of existent projects and of the pilot projects. I want our association to grow both qualitatively and quantitatively and I wish, though all the future projects, to be considered a standard in establishing the directions in Romanian advertising

In September 2013, UAPR’s general assembly designated a new board, with a 2 years long mandate. The board is headed by Radu Florescu (CEO Centrade Saatchi & Saatchi) and Stefan Iordache (Leo Burnett) – vice-president, and includes Alex Visa (GroupM Interaction), Claudia Chirilescu (Spoon Media), Radu Miu (Mercury 360), Nora Marcovici (BBDO) and Alexandru Cernatescu (Infinit Solutions).
2014 represents a new start for UAPR, under Anne Marie’s management. I am happy to have her in our team. Through her positive attitude and her active presence, we will continue to develop organization’s plans. I trust that, together with the other members of the managing board, she will bring an active contribution to UAPR’s projects and will be the common voice for all organization’s members
With a strong background within the advertising industry, UAPR aims to explore new grounds by continuing the projects Effie Awards, Salary Survey, EACA Courses, but also by launching new and innovative projects.
Until Obretin’s appointment as Executive Director of UAPR, the management of the association was handled, since April 2011, by Eleonore af Schaumburg-Lippe .
