Carrefour, Lidl and eMag – retailers with highest visibility in Romanian media

Carrefour, Lidl and eMag occupy the first places in a general top of appearances in Romanian media, according to an analysis made by mediaTrust covering Q1 2014.

According to mediaTrust, Carrefour had most appearances in media in Q1, namely 4,860 articles, most of them online, seconded by Lidl (2.568) and followed by eMag (2.401). Next in line are Auchan (2.388), Kaufland (1.680), Mega Image (1.474), Metro (1.288), Flanco (1.199), Dedeman (969) and Cora (954)

Within discount retailers, Lidl is the most active brand in terms of media appearances (2.568), followed by Billa (723), Profi (701) and Penny Market XXL (649)

In Hypermarkets category, Carrefour is by far the leader (4.672 articles on all media channels), followed by Auchan (2.388), Kaufland (1.680), Cora (954) and Real (841)

Mega Image is the leader in supermarkets category (1.474), followed by Angst (662), Spar (359), Carrefour Market (94) and Succes Nic Com (67).

Dedeman, Romanian DIY chain, is leader within its category when it comes of media apparitions (969), followed by Praktiker (904), Bricostore (518), bauMax (486) and Hornbach (444)

There were in total 30.442 articles in Q1 mentioning the retailers present on Romanian market, the vast majority of them published online (27.328), but there were also articles in printed press (1.773), on TV (1.170) or on radio (170)
