This year’s program, conceptualised by Barbara Krajnc, Executive Director of the Golden Drum Festival, and Mitja Petrovič, Director of Business & Content Development of the Golden Drum Festival, will host many world renowned guests on the Portorož stage this Autumn, many of them who will visit the Golden Drum Festival for the first time: Ajaz Ahmed, Founder and CEO of the global digital agency AKQA and co-author of the bestseller “Velocity”, co-creator of the famous project Nike+ FuelBand, Tomáš Sedláček, world famous economist and author of the book “Economy of Good and Evil”, university professor and former adviser of the past President of Czech Republic Václav Havel, and Paul Brazier, executive creative director of AMV BBDO from UK, who won over 200 different awards, including six D&AD pencils and 11 Cannes Lions, and brought his agency five consecutive titles as the “most awarded creative agency in UK” according to The Gunn Report and Big Won.

Mitja Petrovič on the Transformation, Liberation and Creative Culture, this year’s theme of the Golden Drum Festival:

We believe that the digital revolution and the new power of the universally connected individual are transforming the business and our society. These changes have caused problems for many, but they also bring new freedom – both to brands and to the people who use them (Airbnb is the first Community Driven SuperBrand and it is changing tourism).

The advertising industry can follow these changes or it can be part of the transformation. We believe that our role is to lead and we believe that creative culture is the only thing that can encourage transformation and create a better future. Transition is behind us, what lies ahead is transformation.
