The RGB News – a Geometry Global Bucharest campaign that promotes blood donations by showing people how life would literally be without red – is an idea developed by Mihai Fetcu and his team and consisted in removing the red from the news, viewers only seeing the green and blue channels on their screens.
An innovative and simple idea, it was awarded Gold at PR Lions and Silver & Bronze in Media Lions. The same campaign also scooped Silver in Promo & Activation on Monday, which makes this campaign the front runner for Romania so far.
McCann Erickson Bucharest also gets back home 2 Bronze Lions tonight. One trophy is for Sunday Grannies in PR, with the campaign reaching to a total of 3 Lions, after the two received in Promo and Activation competition during the gala on Monday.
The second Bronze goes to “Ghita, the Social Shepherd”, in Creative Effectiveness, a category that expanded this year to accepting entries from the past three years, in order to prove their efficiency over a longer period of time.
9 Lions were awarded until now to agencies and entries from Romania, counting also yesterday’s Bronze in Promo for #seatbeltb00bing from Publicis Bucharest.
