MedLife’s promise of a greener future for children has new roots with the CSR campaign “Making Romania green”

Creativity, CSR

MedLife, leader of the private healthcare market in Romania, has recently started the company’s first corporate social responsibility project dedicated to the environment.  Making Romania green is an initiative by which the company will plant one tree for every child born in the MedLife maternities. With this new CSR campaign, developed and carried out along with Jazz and pastel advertising agencies, MedLife is moving forward with its promise to make Romania well, therefore committing to the health and balance of next generations.

It is in MedLife’s nature to care about people’s welfare, as well as to look after the environment they live in. That is why the company has taken direct responsibility and engagement to ecologically reconstruct an entire area of forest that has been clear cut, in the Fagăraș Mountains. Therefore, with the involvement of Conservation Carpathia Foundation, MedLife will reforest an area of 10 hectares (24.7 acres), by planting 40.000 saplings during the first year of the project. Making Romania green has started on November 10th with the first reforestation event, when both employees and volunteers have joined forces with members of the Conservation Carpathia Foundation.

We wish to build a better future for our kids, together, day by day, which is why we are trying to engage into actions that truly matter. Our mission has recently entered a new stage: we’ve launched our first CSR project dedicated to the environment – Making Romania green! It’s a project that started as an internal initiative – the idea belongs to one of our employees, and became real with the help of the entire MedLife team, quickly turning into a mission we all believe in. That is why our colleagues were quick to act and managed to team up with the volunteers, during the first reforestation action, a successful first event we are proud of. The team’s effort was a good reminder of what great things we can do together, just as great as our daily activities. This project – that has a great future and will literally bloom in time – is our promise to act virtuously for the next generations,” said Ina Badarau, PR Manager MedLife.

With this first CSR project dedicated to the environment, the company marks another way of getting involved in the wellbeing of people. Just like all the other projects initiated by MedLife, Making Romania green is what defines the essence of the brand. With this new project, the company takes its promise to provide valuable healthcare services and excellence for every patient even further, getting involved in the development and evolution of the society.

Moreover, an online platform dedicated to the project was specially created to support this campaign, at https://www.medlife.ro/facem-romania-verde, where both the campaign’s presentation spot and the video story of the first reforestation event can be found. The campaign will also be endorsed throughout a series of PR projects and actions.
