Dentsu appoints its first Chief Commercial Officer for Southeast Europe

dentsu, the global media and digital marketing communications company, announces the strategic senior appointment of Florian Skala to newly created role of Chief Commercial Officer to strengthen its growth and commercial practises in Romania and across Southeast Europe markets. 

Reporting to dentsu Southeast Europe CEO Maria Grachnova, Skala will join the regional Executive Team and local management team in Romania. He will use his media trading expertise and leadership to accelerate dentsu’s ongoing growth in Romania and the region through excellent relationships within media partners and extensive experience in commercial positioning.  

Skala has two decades of experience leading media and sales functions in Central and Eastern European region. In his most recent role, he has held management positions in Central European Media Enterprises (CME), first as Sales Director at Markiza Group in Slovakia, and then as CEO of bTV Media Group in Bulgaria.

Earlier, he had been in leading positions at the Sales House of RTL Group in Austria for more than ten years. Before joining dentsu, he provided strategic sales consultancy on the Greek media market.

Skala took over his position on December 1st, 2021.
