From MakeSense PR to MakeSense: Repositioning, 4 partners and Euro 1/4M business

Five years after its founding, MakeSense PR repositions and switches from a PR agency to a communication and content agency, adding to its portfolio services of content creation and content marketing.

Founded in 2010, MakeSense posted a business turnover of Euro 220,000 in 2014, with 83.4% of it represented by agency fees. Also, 60% of agency’s business turnover came from content creation services, implemented mainly within B2B campaigns.

The agency has a team of 7 people, from which 4 are partners in the business: Raluca Bailescu – Managing Partner, Cristian Ditoiu – Chief Technologist & Partner, Oana Coman – Communication Strategist & Partner, Aura Dumitru – Communication Engineer & Partner, Alexandra Enachescu – Chief Content Engineer, Loredana Caloian – Content Engineer and Silviana Uta – Content Engineer.

The main business verticals for the agency are healthcare & pharma, IT, FMCG and financial. MakeSense offers services like content creation for own channels (white papers, case studies, newsletters) and third channels, management for online communities and traditional communication services (media and influencers communication, internal communication, events organization and management).

If the communication industry needs some engineers (it would be, in fact, the only industry without engineers), we are them. Our way of working has less glam and more analysis. Less creation and more precision. We look at all sides of our clients’ business objectives until we are sure we translated them correctly into communication objectives. We are building campaigns we measure step by step, checking if we are on the right path: the product is moving from the shelf, the phone calls at the reception desk, the online basket is filling up.
