Romania’s press is almost free

Romania’s press is almost free, this is the conclusion of Freedom House’s annual report, published before International Press Day.

The report says that Romania is on the 90th place in the world when it comes of press freedom, at equality with countries like Brasil, East Timor, Salvador, Lesotho, Nicaragua and Peru.

When it comes of Central and Eastern Europe, Romanian press ranks as less free than press in Croatia, Bosnia and Montenegro.
