Most popular Romanian talk-show hosts, according to MediaIQ

The online press monitoring service MediaIQ realized a top of the most popular Romanian talk-show hosts and, in the same time, one of the most mentioned news anchors in the Romanian media

According to MediaIQ’a study, Robert Turcescu, Romanian talk-show host initially at Realitatea TV and nowadays at B1TV, was mentioned 753 times by Romanian press in the last 6 months. His resignation from Realitatea TV attracted the biggest attention from the national press.

In the top, Turcescu is followed by Gabriela Vrânceanu Firea (638 mentions) and Victor Ciutacu (567 mentions), the last one being also a TV talk show host and the editor in chief of the Romanian daily Jurnalul National.
In what concerns the news anchors, the classament made by MediaIQ is dominated by people from Pro TV. Andreea Esca, woman anchor of the main news show at Pro TV Romania, is on the 1st place, being mentioned for 488 times in press in the last 6 months, followed by Iulia Vântur (327 mentions), also from Pro TV, and Simonei Pătruleasa, newsanchor at Kanal D (238 mentions).

MediaIQ monitoring included 780 media sources and covered the period May 8th – November 10th 2010.
