Bookbyte.ro, a new digital book store, opened in Romania with the mission of making reading easier and more accesible, offering both the option to buy and to borrow different titles, from literature to specialized books.

“The prices for ebooks are, generally, with 25 to 75% smaller than the ones for the printed versions and offer the possibility to search in text and borrow for a certain period of time, among others”, said Radu Apostoae, General Manager BOOKbyte.

For the next 6 months, Bookbyte wants to become the company with the biggest collection of digital books from the most important publishers in Europe. All the titles sold via the digital book store are protected with Adobe Digital Rights Management, the only generally accepted application to protect the copyright for the titles.
